Access Guide

Welcome to Silverstone Circuit. We are incredibly proud of our loyal Fans First community, and we’re committed to delivering world-class services and facilities for all our fans with access needs.

At Silverstone, we want every visitor to enjoy the thrill of the circuit without barriers. In line with the Equality Act 2010, we continue to make reasonable adjustments that support access for everyone. Our venue includes step-free routes to key areas, accessible toilet facilities, and dedicated support for fans who may need additional assistance. Please note that facilities may vary depending on the event, but our commitment to access never changes.

We know that every fan’s access needs are unique, and we encourage you to reach out to us before your visit. Our team is here to help, understand your requirements, and work with you to make sure your experience is as smooth and memorable as possible.

New for this year

We have introduced our Racemakers Access Team. Throughout the weekend, please look out for them at gates, viewing platforms, and across the venue. They will be wearing flags outside our gates so you can identify them easily. As well as the Access Team, we will also have our Racemakers in their blue and pink uniform who will also be able to support you throughout the weekend.

Arrival by Car - Blue Badge (Pre-Booked Only)

• Follow the Blue Badge Parking signs on arrival
• Our stewards are here to help you park quickly and safely
• Please ensure your Blue Badge is clearly displayed at all times
• Abbey is the nearest and most accessible entrance to the circuit
  

If you were unable to pre-book Blue Badge parking, please display your Blue Badge when entering, and our stewards will direct you to the front of the main car parks. Please note: this area has uneven terrain.

Arrival by Shuttle Bus (Milton Keynes)

• Your nearest entrance is Woodcote
• Transfers operate both to and from the circuit each day
  
• Please note that Saturday and Sunday operate different timetables
• We recommend planning your journey in advance, particularly during peak travel periods
• Transfers only operate in the direction shown below during the stated times
• You cannot travel in the opposite direction outside of the designated inbound and outbound service times

Saturday Timetable

• Inbound Services (To Silverstone) - 07:00 - 13:00 

During these times, buses will operate to Silverstone only.

• Outbound services (To Milton Keynes Train Station) - 16:00 - 21:30

During these times, buses will operate to Milton Keynes Train Station only.

Sunday Timetable

• Inbound services (To Silverstone) - 06:00 - 11:00

During these times, buses will operate to Silverstone only.

• Outbound Services (To Milton Keynes Train Station) - 14:00 - 20:30

During these times, buses will operate to Milton Keynes Train Station only.

Please allow extra time when travelling during peak periods, as waiting times may be longer due to demand.

Internal Shuttle Bus

We provide an Internal Shuttle Bus Service for guests with limited mobility who require additional assistance getting around the circuit. The service is operated by our dedicated Access Team and will run daily from 7:30am to 9:30pm, with an earlier finish time of 7:00pm on Sunday.

• If you require the shuttle service, you will be directed to the nearest pick-up point.
• Designated collection points are available at Abbey, Woodcote Gate, Copse Gate, Vale/Club Gate, Hamilton Straight Gate & Brooklands Gate
• Shuttle buses operate between all open gates throughout the day.
• In the evenings, shuttles will operate from the Mainstage Accessible Viewing Platform (AVP). 
• An additional shuttle service will operate between Copse Runway and The Wing.
• Our Race Maker Team will be available to assist with shuttle requests. 
• Seating and shelter are available at each shuttle pick-up location.

Advanced Mobility

If you have pre-booked an electric scooter or manual wheelchair through Advanced Mobility, these will be available to collect from the Advanced Mobility Huts located in Car Park 50.

Please note: Due to the nature of the terrain at Silverstone Circuit, which includes gravel areas, we recommend the use of a four-wheeled mobility scooter or wheelchair where required.

If you choose to bring your own equipment, we cannot accept responsibility for any damage sustained on site. As an alternative, equipment hire is pre-bookable directly from Advanced Mobility, who will be present throughout the event weekend.

Accessible Entrance Gates

The following gates all provide hardstanding access into the circuit:

• Hamilton Straight Gate
• Abbey Gate
• Club Gate
• Brooklands Gate

Gate Opening Times

Friday: 08:00 - 21:00

Saturday: 08:00 - 21:00

Sunday: 08:00 - 18:30

Our dedicated Accessibility Race Makers will be located at these entrances and will be available to support your journey into the venue.

If you have an Access Card or an approved Sunflower Lanyard, please have it available on arrival. This may help facilitate entry through our accessible lanes for one accessible guest and one companion.

Walking Distances from Hamilton Straight Gate

• Abbey Grandstand - Approximately 610 metres - A short walk to one of the most iconic corners on the circuit
• Woodcote B - Approximately 900 metres
  
• Copse Terrace - Approximately 1,600 metres - A longer walk to the fast and thrilling Copse Corner, known for dramatic overtaking opportunities
  
• Luffield Complex & Luffield Terrace - Approximately 500 metres - The closest viewing areas, offering excellent views of the technical Luffield section

Wheelchair viewing bays at Luffield and Abbey must be booked in advance through the Accessibility Team.

If you have purchased a grandstand ticket and require wheelchair or mobility scooter access, please contact the Accessibility Team as soon as possible.

Guests with a confirmed wheelchair viewing bay will have a bay number clearly displayed on their digital ticket.

The Mainstage and Woodcote B viewing platforms are available on a first come, first served basis throughout the weekend.

Accessible Platforms (own seating required):

• Copse Terrace
• Luffield Terrace (Pre-booked only)
• Luffield Complex (Pre-booked only)
• Mainstage AVP

Accessible Platforms - Grandstands (static seating provided):

• Woodcote B
• Abbey (Pre-booked only)

What's included with Accessible Platforms:

• An allocated raised, uncovered wheelchair viewing bay
• Space for one or two Personal Assistants/companions
• Clear visibility of event screens
• Closed captioning on all event screens
• Support from our Race Maker team in the event of an emergency

Our friendly Race Makers will be available throughout the weekend to assist guests using the viewing platforms.

Sensory Room

Located within the Museum at Bridge Studios 1&2, our sensory room provides a quiet, low-stimulation environment and is open to guests of all ages.

The sensory room will be available from Friday to Sunday throughout event opening hours.

We're committed to making your experience as enjoyable and accessible as possible.

Accessible Entrance Points

If you have pre-booked parking in Blue Badge Car Park 50, your nearest entrance will be Abbey or Hamilton Straight Gate.

Personal Assistant/Carer

• Personal Assistants and carers must have their own valid event ticket.
• Personal Assistants may only enter the venue alongside the guest they are supporting. 

Please ensure your event tickets are downloaded and ready for inspection on arrival.

Accessible Toilets

• All permanent toilet blocks are wheelchair accessible
• Accessible toilets can be accessed using a RADAR Key.
• If you do not have your own RADAR Key, Race Makers may be able to assist on the day.
• We kindly ask that companions and Personal Assistants only use these facilities when necessary.

Bars

Many bars across the venue feature:

• Lowered serving counters
• Nearby accessible seating areas

Mainstage Accessible Viewing Platforms

Enjoy the evening entertainment from our accessible viewing platform located near the Mainstage. 

Please note:

• The platform operates on a first come, first served basis.
• If you're accompanying a wheelchair user and require seating, we recommend bringing your own chair. 
• Standing is not permitted on the platform.
• Space is limited and larger groups may be asked to split up. 
• Strobe and flashing lighting effects may be used during evening performances.

We’re thrilled to have you join us for this iconic event. As a PA/Carer, your role is incredibly important, and we want to ensure you have a smooth and enjoyable experience while supporting the person who selected you for this responsibility.

Your Role as a PA/Carer

While we hope you enjoy everything Silverstone has to offer, please remember that your primary role is to assist and accompany the individual who chose you as their PA/Carer.

• Be prepared to support them with any needs they may have throughout the event
• In the event of an emergency or evacuation, your assistance will be essential

Tips for a Great Experience

• Take a few moments to familiarise yourself with the venue using the site map
• If you need help or have any concerns, our friendly Race Makers are here to assist - just look out for them around the circuit.

Concert/Mainstage AVP:

When you are ready to leave, please speak to the Access Team on the platform, who will guide you to the nearest exit or shuttle. They will advise on the best and safest time to leave.
